Sometimes you just have this special connection with a dog which cannot be explained logically because it just is.

Dexter and I shared such a bond. He was truly special.

He had this love for squeaky toys which bordered on annoying as he would aimlessly squeak his toys with such dedication and persistance whenever he was happy, which was practically all the time. On walks he used to look for the biggest log or branch he could find and he would drag that around the entire walk, the bigger the branch the better and his happiness would radiate from his whole being.

Dexter was an incredibly picky eater, his favourite treat was bread, but he also loved cheese. He detested bacon and tripe or anything with a particularly strong smell.

He had a super temperament, so confident and happy. It was devastating to lose him at such a young age.
